Time to Get to Work. Again.

Well, I’ve been kinda stuck in a rut as I’ve been job hunting. To describe the job market right now, especially in IT, as “soul crushing” would be an understatement of epic proportions. That said, I’ve landed a new role that I think will be a good fit for me. What’s more is, I don’t start until the 7th next month, so I have some time to knock out some hobby projects with a lot less guilt about all the other things I should be doing.

Now then, without further ado! I’m back to work on terrain. If you’ve been following along on the other socials, you’ve probably seen at least some of what I’m working on. Right now on the table, I’m updating some basing for buildings that I’m going to finish up. My strategy is to go for the low-hanging fruit, so to speak. I have a ton of work-in-progress pieces that never got finished for one reason or another. The next few weeks, I’m going to try to knock as many of them out as I can.

I’ve also been working a bit more on the fiction for the books. I managed to squeak out enough work to finish up one of the faction pieces I’ve been struggling to get right, so that’s some progress. Writing is still hard, but I’m tackling it as best I can. With the upcoming change in circumstances, I’m rolling around a few ideas to lighten that load, though. We’ll see how it goes. I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself.

Until next time!
